Scouting read

What this shortlist is built to reveal

An attacking midfielder has to create value in the most crowded part of the pitch. The strongest young profiles find a useful receiving angle before the pocket closes, turn possession into a shot or a better final-third position and remain influential when an opponent removes the central route. Goals and assists capture outcomes, not the full process, so we read them beside expected production, chance creation, ball progression and the volume of senior responsibility. Off-ball pressure and defensive transition remain essential film questions rather than assumed strengths.

The board is a discovery tool. Open a profile to inspect minutes, role-specific percentiles, advanced evidence and data confidence before drawing a projection.

Access matters before the final pass

Creative output becomes more repeatable when a player can consistently receive between lines, protect the ball through contact and draw a defender before releasing it. A single spectacular assist does less scouting work than repeated access to dangerous decisions.

Find the counter when the pocket closes

Senior opponents will block the preferred central space. We want to know whether the player can rotate wide, threaten the last line, combine deeper or help recover the ball. The ranking identifies the evidence; the full profile frames what still needs to be watched.
