England's academy system creates deep prospect pools, but the difficult step is converting youth dominance into a stable senior responsibility. We are looking for evidence that a player can solve a first-team problem at match speed: receiving under contact, progressing against an organised press, defending the space left by an attack or creating before the defence resets. A Premier League squad place is not treated as production, and a loan is not automatically a setback. The quality of the minutes, the assigned role and the level at which the sample was earned remain central to the ranking.
